Labour's Legacy

It remains to be seen whether the new government will be any better than the previous one, however I am cautiously optimistic. Despite the new image, the Tories have retained some of their values, manifest from their pledges to scrap ID cards and limit immigration to "tens of thousands" a year.

Thirteen years of Labour governance have certainly taken their toll. Andrew Neather's revelation that Ministers had deliberately encouraged immigration in order to "rub the Right's nose in diversity" and for a "political purpose" proved what many people like myself had strongly suspected - that immigration wasn't about economics, but social engineering and the destruction of Britain. Around 2.3 million immigrants have entered the United Kingdom legally under Labour's administration, that's more than a 50% increase on the ethnic minority population residing in the UK in 2001/02, according to the Office of National Statistics' figures:

Source: http://www.statistics.gov.uk/pdfdir/meg1202.pdf

The Labour government have transformed our society, especially the inner cities, through this mass-importation of mostly third world immigrants. That is the most obvious and nefarious element of Labour's legacy, as it will be very, very difficult to reverse.

Equally sinister, however, is Labour's attempt at building the apparatus and enacting the legislation required to monitor and control the population. We currently have the largest DNA database in the world, which includes the DNA of many people who were never convicted of any offence! Additionally, Labour have overseen:

- the first crown court criminal trial to be held without a jury in England and Wales for more than 350 years. (BBC)

- the abolition of the 'double jeopardy' law, which has existed for around 800 years. (BBC)

- an attempt, effectively, to abolish habeas corpus, which guarantees an individual the right to a trial. It is believed to date back to the Magna Carta. The government wanted to hold 'terror' suspects for up to 90 days without trial. (Independent)

- the creation of over 4,300 new criminal offences. (The Times)

To think that all these fundamental civil liberties, which have existed for hundreds of years, have come under attack in the last thirteen years is simply shocking.

In addition to the unparalleled immigration, and the assault on our civil liberties, Blair led us into two Middle Eastern conflicts, both under false pretexts. These wars have cost us the lives of hundreds of soldiers, made Britons a target for Islamic terrorists and cost the taxpayer billions of pounds.

Finally, Labour have all but bankrupted Britain:

Officially the National Debt is £890 billion (that's right - BILLION). You might regard that as rather a lot – even if your share is divided by 60 million of your fellow British citizens. But there is evidence it is more than twice as much. Private Finance Initiatives add £130 billion and Public Pensions Liabilities add £1,200 billion, so instead of a trillion pounds, maybe it is two trillion pounds.

Honesty is the best policy on painful economic truth; Daily Mail; 18th May 2010

Under Labour we have suffered the longest recession on record, less than a decade after chancellor Brown bragged that he had eliminated 'boom and bust'! Perhaps he genuinely believed his own hype, after all Labour ran a budget deficit during even the more prosperous years. However a cynic may be forgiven for believing Labour's mismanagement of the country has been deliberate. This is an observation Simon Heffer made just over two years ago, when he wrote an article entitled Labour is malignant, not incompetent:

When we say, as we should often feel the temptation to do, that the Labour administration that has governed us for the past 11 years is incompetent, we should be aware also that we are saying the following: that, but for its administrative and technical failings, it would have done well.

I do not believe this to be true. Despite the sheen of reason that Gordon Brown and, before him, Tony Blair and their chums have sought to put on all they do, this Government has had dark motives from the start.

It has followed policies deliberately that have enabled it to pursue its own political agenda...and irrespective of some of the dire consequences that might flow from those policies.

Labour has pursued policies, be they social or economic, for ideological reasons: and when they fail, as so many have, it has not been because of slipshod administration. It is because that was how things were always going to work out.

Good article.

There is only way to describe these people - utter, utter bastards. I am sure the real list of their despicable actions would span into a whole book.

My annoyance even extends to now they have been removed from office....not only because thier 'legacy' remains, but that human nature (in the public domain) tends to wipe the slate clean upon a new government.

Therefore, for a lot of people, all what has happened before will now just be accepted as established fact (including the imigration) - and they will hold some vague hope of "change" (that they were promised in the soundbites) will manifest itself in the future.

They will not feel able to lay blame at the Tories and Lib Dems, for they were not the ones in office - however, I still lay blame at their door too, and I do not wish to have a clean slate.

The Tories were totally ineffective as opposition - and let Labour get away with literally murder. Including the effective murder of the British Nation and its people.

None of the "main" parties get off the hook as far as I am concerned. They did not lift a finger to stop them, and nor did they want to, often having "agreement" (or half arsed nit picks) between the parties on these issues.

Meanwhile, we are left with the mess.

How terrifying are all those facts that you have mentioned UBN. Sometimes I wonder if all this destruction of our society can be rectified. I do believe , however that this new government may try and improve our abysmal standards in teaching the sciences to our children. This morning I heard ( on the Today programme), a discussion about bringing back the three individual sciences to all children, instead of the integrated, less comprehensive "general science" G.C.S.E., which in my mind will create better material for future jobs.

Nulabour has certainly damaged the UK without a doubt. But then so did Conservative before them, going all the way back to Heath. Wilson and Callaghan were both twits and socialists, but at least then their parties hadn't become heavily infiltrated by the anti British Marxists, prevalent in the left today. It was Heath who sold Britain into Europe and set the wheels in motion for the European Super State and the overall plans of the New World Order's one world government and banking system.
The Conservatives are not Conservatives. Two recent articles discuss this on my website here and here. There is no political left, right and centre any more in British politics. It is merely central left (Conservative), left (Liberal) and far left (Socialist). The right, amongst the eyes of the public has become atributed to the Nazis and the KKK. To be right wing is to be reactionary and alarmist and thus this propaganda, perpetuated by the press, is promoted continuously, nothing more than state indotrination and brainwashing.

I'm a realist and truly don't believe that the UK will get back critical thinking and logical outcome, as it has been replaced by emotive, illogical, non common sense, politically correct thought. Our younger generations are nothing but dead heads. Of course I'm generalising, but its worked. The fire of revolution has gone within them and they have all but surrendered to the NWO. Again, I write about this on my blog as do many others which discuss this.

Finally, Labour hasn't destroyed Britain per se. The people voted for NuLabour and thus are far more guilty for allowing their country to be destroyed under NuLabour. State indoctrination worked and we are reaping the consequence of it.

UBN,

Even if we took the figures of 400,000 people coming to the UK each year under the NuLabour government, we will see that some 5.2million people have entered the UK. The figure however is believed to be more around the 700k a year meaning some 9.1 million under NuLabour within 13 years.

The population of London is estimated to be around 7million, whereas it was believed, at least 15 years ago to be nearer 11 million. Even if that were true, the 4.5 million figure of ethnics in the UK is grossly false. The ethnic population of people in London is nearer that figure alone. The Muslim figure alone in the UK is nearer 5 million people. Thus it means that when adding Britain's Asian and African populations we see a figure nearer 10 million alone which is safe to say that the population of the UK is now without a doubt 25% ethnic. Considering also that Africans and Asians have a far higher birthrate than Caucasians, thanks largely to radical feminists and equality laws, down to School of Frankfurt (Protocols of Zion) and New World Order strategies, to destroy the white peoples of the West in their own homelands, the UK will be a minority white country undoubtedly by 2070. One only has to go to any city, walk past any school and see the racial demographic. The school population always predicts truthfully one's future population demographic.

Long before the story came out on immgration into the UK, I knew that Labour wasn't just doing this to mix Britain's people into one homogeneous blob, but also to gather their own voting block - "Remember who let you in and to show respect accordingly come election time." The Great Immigation Scandal, by Steve Moxon, the whistleblower on Labour's immigration policy helped me to see the bigger picture and should have been a bestseller.
Our society should have welcomed in small numbers of immigrants, who would be integrated into society, having left behind their own cultures in their previous lands. Moreso, all immigrants would have had to havfe lived and paid taxes in the UK for at least 15 years, before being allowed to vote or receive any form of benefit - educational, medicinal or social welfare.
It was a truly insidious plot that they should be facing trial for and lengthy prison terms. This is why all politicians must not be above the law and must answer directly to the people for any wrongdoing, regardless. They are after all public servants and nothing more.

Thanks for all your comments, folks!

BA - you are correct. The Tories were ineffective in 'opposition'. However, I believe they are still marginally better than the Labour Party.

Jade - I think it will soon be too late to rectify this mess. However, I believe we are on the verge of witnessing a number of catastrophes (such as Peak Oil, a depression and conflict in the Middle East) which may just burst many peoples' bubble

Winston - I am not sure about your conclusions regarding the demographic situation, although I agree we will probably become a minority by around 2070.

Many of those entering the UK are Britons returning from abroad, I work with many such people. However, illegal immigration may well number several million, so the official statistics are certainly wrong.

You are correct in stating that the political parties have all moved to the left. Even the BNP have softened somewhat over the last decade - compulsory repatriation has been replaced with voluntary repatriation and we of course have opened up our membership to minorities and softened our stance on homosexuality.

One just needs to look at Churchill to see how the mainstream political spectrum has narrowed - he advocated 'keep England white' as a electoral slogan!

I sometimes also believe that only a small fraction of the population think for themselves, possibly as little as 5%.

Bred in the bone - What you allude to, through your use of 'they', is that our democracy is ultimately controlled by a shadowy cabal (Winston implies the same). I have to say that I have thought this for many years now.

You along with the rest of British society have to put things into perspective. The horrific reality is that government WILL NOT improve our society. You have to realise that the government we have, the leading politicians are part of the New World Order, which seeks the creation of a one world government and banking system. Were our government to want to improve the situation within the UK its first priority would be to remove the UK from Europe and re-install British, non emotive, common sense law back into play. It would also realise that instead of promoting multiculturalism in the UK it would be doing its best to integrate the ethnic minority in British way of life, which of course it has no intention of doing.
Our government, being part of the NWO sees above all that a population of critical thinkers is 100% against what they seek to create and that is a one race of people, following one culture, following one religion, controlled by a chip, embedded within them. Our government will continue to create a mindless automaton, a population smart enough to operate the machinery but not smart enough to understand what's really going on. Thus it will not promote thought in University and school, but continue making products that will fit into the market place, becoming increasingly controlled by foreign owned companies, most notably global corporations.

Lastly, the TV is there for one reason - brainwashing and nothing more. The more people watch it, the more they are led to believe the complete opposite of what is happening. You wouldn't believe how I feel now that I no longer watch TV, follow radio or vigorously study the newspapers. I feel a completely different person, completely free from this control it had over me. Because I don't waste my time being plugged into the world's largest propaganda machine, I read and read alot. I scour the internet finding articles and facts that you'll never see in the newspaper and it's when you find these pieces of information do you realise how much you are being brainwashed. The media is the propaganda tool of the government, themselves puppets of the corporations, bankers, zionists, Illuminati and freemasons who own them.

Do not expect this coalition government to better Britain. Britain is headed in one direction I'm afraid to say and it's going to get far worse than it is now. Unemployment will rise, more people in the private sector will lose their jobs and home repossessions will go through the roof. You've seen nothing yet but this country's about to go into meltdown along with the rest of Europe. If I were you, I'd start transferring any money you have in the bank into Gold or silver, for that will never devalue in price. Leave it in the bank and it may simply disappear, or the value will be 10p in the pound.

You make a great point re: their 2001 'end of boom and bust' pledge. Not that I expect things would have panned out too differently under a conservative government who were also not fond of regulating the bankers but the point is that Labour *promised* that they would not allow the economy to implode.

And their 1997 campaign was all based on clearing out the sleazy Tories. How very ironic!
